The all-new iMac with Retina 5K display is a work of art, 14.7 million pixels are packed into the 27-inch display - four times as many as the standard 27-inch iMac. This model features range the range topping Intel 22nm fourth generation "Haswell" quad core "Core i7" 4.0GHz (4790K) processor and AMD Radeon R9 M295X graphics card with 4GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory. It also has a built-in "FaceTime HD" webcam and stereo speakers, but lacks an optical drive.

This model has a 27" 5120x2880 LED-backlit 16:9 widescreen IPS display that Apple has dubbed "Retina 5K". The rear of the case is aluminum and is thicker in the middle and tapers to a razor-thin 5 mm at the edges.

Connectivity includes four USB 3.0 ports, dual Thunderbolt 2 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n backwards compatible), and Bluetooth 4.0.

Compared to the Late 2013 models introduced previously, this model essentially has the same external enclosure, but it has a much higher resolution display as well as a modestly faster processor, a higher performance graphics processor, and Thunderbolt 2 support.
